EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE
At Green Lane Nursery, we structure the children's learning around the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
WHAT IS EYFS?
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum is centred on each child’s personal, social, and emotional development; physical development and developing communication and language. Every child is unique and their learning journey is tailored to engage with Mathematics, Literacy, Expressive Arts and Design and enhance their understanding of the world.

The EYFS Framework and guidance exists to support all professionals working in nurseries to help your child in their learning and development.

The learning experiences that practitioners plan will be suited to your child’s unique needs and interests. The EYFS framework also states that Early Years Providers must promote good oral health of children who attend their setting.

At Green Lane Nursery we reinforce what the children are learning at home with guidance on teeth hygiene.
Children staying for lunch are provided with their individual toothbrush and encouraged to brush their teeth after lunch.
Hygiene practices such as washing hands and healthy eating are key aspects of our daily routine and we support healthy eating by offering children fresh fruit, milk, and water at snack time. Fruit is provided by parents and prepared by our staff every morning.
